چکیده
Abstract Objectives Gastric glomus tumor (GGT) is a rare mesenchymal tumor, mostly located in the gastric antrum region, and occasionally displays malignant behavior. Due to lack of typical endoscopic or clinical features that distinguish GGT from other submucosal tumors, diagnosis based primarily on postoperative histopathological immunohistochemical findings. The first-line treatment either local laparoscopic resection open surgical intervention. Endoscopic techniques can also be used successfully treat such lesions. Case presentation This case report presented 39-year-old woman suffering anorexia for past 15 days. Barium upper gastrointestinal radiography suggested benign space-occupying lesion region. Endoscopically, non-ulcerative, smooth was observed greater curvature antrum. ultrasound (EUS) examination revealed hypoechoic with an anechoic zone center, originating muscularis propria layer stomach wall, which could stromal (GIST). Conclusions removed via tunneling (STER). Based findings, patient diagnosed GGT.

Malignant transformation of glomus tumor is exceedingly rare and most common reported in lower extremity and abdominal viscera. We could find only 6 previous case report of malignant glomus tumor in the hand. Although large and deeply located glomus tumors are considered to be malignant, evidence has shown that most of these cases were clinically benign. These lesions are better considered as g...

A glomus tumor is a mesenchymal neoplasm that usually develops in the peripheral soft tissue, especially in the distal part of the extremities. The subungual zones of the fingers and toes are the most frequent sites of observation. The majority of glomus tumors are entirely benign, and the malignant counterparts are very rare, especially those arising in the visceral organs. We report a case of...
متن کاملMediastinal Glomus Tumor: A Case Report and Literature Review.
A glomus tumor in the mediastinum is very uncommon, and only five cases have been reported in the English literature. We recently encountered a 21-year-old woman with an asymptomatic mediastinal mass that measured 5.3 × 4.0 cm. Surgical excision was performed, and the tumor was finally diagnosed as mediastinal glomus tumor with an uncertain malignant potential. After reviewing this case and pre...
متن کاملGastric glomus tumor: A case report
Gastric glomus tumors are rare mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. We describe a 72-year-old patient who presented with episodes of melena and was subsequently investigated for a tumor of the antrum of the stomach. Surgical resection revealed a 2 x 2 x 1.7 cm well circumscribed submucosal tumor, extending into the muscularis propria. The histopathologic examination of the specimen...
